Back | ZOPA

Typical Return on Investment ranges from 3.3% to 4.8% and is subject to peer-to-peer market conditions. ZOPA means Zone Of Possible Agreement, a negotiating term identifying the bounds within which agreement can be reached between two parties.

ZOPA was the first P2P lender in the UK. It was started in March 2005 by Giles Andrews, James Alexander, Richard Duvall, David Nicholson, Tim Parlett. In 2011 the Peer-to-Peer Finance Association was established, with Zopa as a founding member. Zopa used to host a yearly get-together in London for its investors but stopped in 2016. In 2021 ZOPA ceased peer-to-peer lending to concentrate more in banking.
